Correspondence with Alma Mahler, 1949.

1 item consists of a cover letter by Anna Mahler (signed Anna Fistoulari), enclosing a letter from Anatole Fistoulari; both letters are addressed to Mr. Lancy, who apparently was an acquaintance of Alma Mahler's. Fistoulari's letter gives details of his life and his career as a conductor. Also included is an undated fragment of a typed narrative about Fistoulari's life (author unknown), which contains details not given in Fistoulari's letter; this third-person narrative implies that Fistoulari was seeking to emigrate to the U.S. following World War II. The draft telegram from Alma Mahler to Fistoulari concerns her payment of debts, at the request of her daughter.
